The Wrong Development for Our Community
Citrus Valley.
A MASSIVE DRAIN ON HEMET / SAN JACINTO VALLEY RESOURCES
The proposed Citrus Valley Development Project will encompass 767 acres (approximately 1.2 mile radius) 4,000 homes and 8,000+ additional residents in the beautiful rural citrus groves of southeast Hemet. A project of this magnitude cannot be sustained in our area. The Hemet /San Jacinto Valley DOES NOT HAVE THE JOBS, WATER, POLICE, ROADS OR INFRASTRUCTURE to absorb the population increase that the proposed Citrus Valley Development would incur!

INADEQUATE FREEWAY AND HIGHWAY ACCESSIBILITY
The Citrus Valley Development is proposed for the far south-eastern area of our Valley, miles from hwy/fwy access to work centers. A majority of the potential 8,000+ residents would be commuters on our already congested streets.
UNSAFE DENSITY IN A DANGEROUS FIRE ZONE
4,000 homes x 2 people per residence = 8,000 people, three people per residence = 12,000 additional residents impacting our police and fire emergency resources. The Fairview Fire proved how vulnerable the foothill communities of Hemet already are. We cannot protect and sustain an additional 8-12 thousand residents.

LOSS OF VALLEY'S TREASURED RURAL AREA
The residents of Hemet understand that the owners of our citrus groves have the right to develop their land, but this is the WRONG DEVELOPMENT FOR OUR VALLEY. The Valle Vista groves area is currently and historically citrus on the south-eastern border of Hemet, where people come to enjoy the quiet, rural beauty, walk, hike, bike and watch the migrating bats under the bridges. The rural beauty, peace and quiet of the Valle Vista Citrus Groves and Bautista Canyon are in danger of being lost forever.
